Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These Terms govern the conditions and procedures for using the Lampstand AI service ("the Service") provided by Solo Scriptor ("we," "us"), and the rights and obligations between us and the user.

2. Definitions

• Service: the Lampstand AI software and related web services we provide
• User: an individual who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service
• Subscription: the right to use the Service for a period in exchange for a fee
• Credit: the in-service unit consumed when using AI features

3. The Service

The Service is an AI-based sermon-preparation tool delivered as software installed on a Windows PC. Its main features include sermon-archive management, textual analysis, illustration search, and idea capture; AI features require an internet connection.

Ministry data such as sermon manuscripts and notes is stored only on the user's PC. We do not keep this data on any server or use it to train AI.

• Payment is processed via Gumroad (merchant of record).
• Credits reset at each billing renewal; unused credits do not carry over.
• Fees may change with prior notice.

5. Account & devices

The Service is operated on email-based login. After subscribing, sign in with your payment email in the app's Backup/Account tab and your subscription activates immediately.

• The current version runs on a single device. Multi-device support is planned for a future update.
• Your account is for your own use and may not be transferred to or shared with others.
• When you replace your PC or reinstall, signing in again with the same email restores your subscription.

6. User obligations

• Register with accurate information and update it promptly when it changes.
• You are responsible for the security of your own account.
• Final review and use of AI-generated output is your responsibility.

7. Prohibited conduct

Users must not:

• Transfer, sell, or share an account or subscription with a third party
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, copy, or redistribute the software
• Abuse or improperly bypass the credit system or API
• Mass-distribute AI output commercially under another's name
• Use the Service for purposes contrary to law or public morals

8. Disclaimer regarding AI output

Lampstand AI is an assistive tool for sermon preparation, not a ghost-writing service. Analyses, illustrations, and drafts generated by the AI must be reviewed and used responsibly by the user.

• We do not warrant the theological accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of AI output.
• Using AI output unedited in a sermon is not recommended.
• Responsibility for theological and pastoral consequences of using AI output rests with the user.

9. Changes & discontinuation

We may change the Service and will give notice 30 days in advance for significant changes, by website or email. If the Service is permanently discontinued for unavoidable reasons, we will give prior notice and refund the fee for the remaining subscription period.

10. Refunds

Refunds follow our separate Refund Policy. A refund may be requested within 7 days of payment, with used credits deducted.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea (where Solo Scriptor is established). Disputes will first be addressed in good faith between us and the user; if unresolved, the competent court at our place of business shall be the court of first instance.

These Terms are effective from May 15, 2026.
